UF Apps for Students: How to Access and Download [] - First Time Use

 

UF makes every effort to proactively notify you before you run out of space on your M: Drive. Adobe products including Photoshop is discounted for Students UF student in special pricing on a one-year subscription to the entire Adobe Creative Cloud Suite. Using Adobe products on UFApps is beneficial for on-the-go students. All you need is an internet connection!

Adobe UFApps ensures anywhere, anytime access on all your devices. UF Apps works flawlessly, but there are a lot of ones and zeros flying around and the odds are that at least one person will have a problem. From time to time, you may experience unexpected or new issues in UFApps, like a new screen display or momentary slowness. This may be a result of new programs or enhancements being made in response to student feedback; or because of extremely high usage of UF Apps. You may notice that the first time you login to UFApps or launch an application for the first time, it takes a little bit longer than if it were running locally on your laptop.

For best performance, be sure to copy your files to the M: drive before opening them. In order to open, save, and edit files from your local computer UFApps needs the ability to access your locally stored files. To achieve this you will need to give the Citrix Receiver permission to access files on your computer and the first time you use UFApps you are asked to grant access. If you choose to block access and would like to change it to permit access the steps below will help you achieve this.

We highly recommend storing your files on the M: drive while you are actively working with them. The M: drive gives you storage space in a UF data center so your files can be quickly and easily accessed from UFApps.
